WWE’s main roster currently boasts one of the strongest women’s divisions in the world. However, it looks set to become even more formidable.
Lash Legend officially moved from NXT to SmackDown this past Friday, aligning with Nia Jax against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. While she had appeared on the blue brand last year alongside Jakara Jackson, this was a more permanent switch. Legend might be the first of multiple new arrivals from NXT.
According to Chris The Wrestling Informer on X/Twitter, WWE has discussed potentially calling up Jordynne Grace and Jacy Jayne to the main roster. Triple H seems likely to be at the forefront of these discussions, since he is the Head of Creative. Things could be set in motion for 2026:
“Lash Legend made her official main roster debut last night on #SmackDown and she might not be the only NXT Superstar to be called up in the near future. Jordynne Grace and former NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne have reportedly been heavily discussed for a potential call up in 2026.”
Both Jordynne Grace and Jacy Jayne have been among the biggest names in NXT’s women’s division over the past few months. They stepped up following the main roster call-ups of Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer, so expect the likes of Tatum Paxley, Blake Monroe, and Lola Vice to become even bigger stars next year.
What is the state of WWE RAW and SmackDown’s women’s divisions?
If they were to join WWE’s main roster right now, Jacy Jayne and Jordynne Grace might both be a part of SmackDown. The blue brand is dying for fresh faces due to a lack of star power, with Bianca Belair injured and Naomi moving to RAW before her pregnancy. Lash Legend’s call-up certainly helped in that regard, but a lot more is needed.
Tiffany Stratton’s world title reign suffered from this issue before it was mercifully ended by Jade Cargill. Grace would instantly be a formidable challenger for the WWE Women’s Championship, while Jayne can work across the card. She would also be able to hold her own as a part of RAW’s stacked female division.
The red brand does need heels beyond Becky Lynch, The Judgment Day, and The Kabuki Warriors. Jacy Jayne could provide some balance and be a great opponent for Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, or Stephanie Vaquer herself. WWE has a lot of options to ensure both moves are a success.
