Hudson River Valley Greenway Director Scott Keller Retiring

Scott Keller, director of the Hudson River Valley Greenway and Maurice D. Hinchey Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area, has announced he will be retiring in March of 2024.

In 1991 the Hudson River Valley Greenway was created during the administration of NYS Governor Mario Cuomo in part to establish a network of multi-use trails along both sides of the Hudson River, from the northern borders Saratoga and Washington counties to Manhattan.

The Trail System consists of two main components: a land trail (including the Bike Route 9) and a water trail for paddling and boating, a program that was a major aspect of Keller’s time at the Greenway.
