Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G box outed as the company confirms March 18 launch

by NEW YORK DIGITAL NEWS

Infinix is launching the Note 40 series globally on March 18 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, at the Sepang International Circuit. The company is asking us to “embrace the speed” and it specifically seems to mean charging speed.

The Note 40 series is likely to become Infinix’s fastest-charging yet. This is confirmed by the outing of the Note 40 Pro+ 5G’s retail box by Infinix itself.

As you can see below, some details are obfuscated, but that’s clearly at least 100W wired charging, if not 200W – and this would be the fastest an Infinix has ever charged. We’re also promised Wireless MagCharge on the Note 40 Pro+, which we got an exclusive sneak peek of mere hours ago.

Think of it as Infinix’s version of Apple’s MagSafe and you get the idea. The system in theory supports up to 110W wireless charging, but the Note 40 Pro+ won’t go that far, it seems, since only one digit appears to be missing in the shot above.

The last detail we can glean from the image of the box is that the phone itself might have curved screen sides. For what it’s worth, Infinix promises a flagship phone experience on the Note 40 Pro+ 5G.

Alongside it, Infinix will also launch the Note 40, Note 40 Pro, and Note 40 Pro 5G, according to a certification in Indonesia. The Note 40 Pro 5G will sport a 5,000 mAh battery, and so the Pro+ model could go the same route too, but this is currently just speculation, so take it as such.

The 4G-only Note 40 Pro will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio G99 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM, according to the Google Play Console. It will run Android 14 from day one, and its screen will have FHD+ resolution and a 480 ppi pixel density. The FCC revealed this model to sport 70W wired charging.
