The Rangers and Flyers will meet tonight and tomorrow for two prospect games. The Rangers will dress most, if not all, of their rookie camp participants for both games. They have 13 forwards and 7 defensemen in rookie camp, so two defensemen and two forwards won’t play both games, assuming normal 12-6-2 roster size for both games. Since it’s an exhibition, we may see all players dressed and a simple rotation.
Brennan Othmann (C), Scott Morrow (A), and Gabe Perreault (A) will represent the leadership group for the Blueshirts. All three will be in contention for roster spots when training camp opens next week.
Other players to watch are Noah Laba, Carey Terrance, Dylan Roobroeck, and Jackson Dorrington. All four will likely begin the season in Hartford, but their play and NHL injuries could result in a call up at some point this season.
