Florida Rep Cory Mills restraining order from Miss USA Lindsey Langston sextortion case

A Florida judge slapped Rep. Cory Mills (R-Fla.) with a restraining order after his ex-girlfriend, reigning Miss United States Lindsey Langston, accused him of harassing her and threatening to leak sexually explicit videos of her.

The decision issued Tuesday by state Circuit Judge Fred Koberlein Jr. in Columbia County will bar the lawmaker from acts of violence against Langston, as well as contacting or referring to her on any social media platform until January 2026, according to the judgment obtained by Politico.

Koberlein Jr. sided with Langston’s argument that Mills had caused her “substantial emotional distress” and that he had “no credible rebuttal” to her testimony, according to the order.

He also found that the beauty queen had reasonable cause to believe she was “in imminent danger of becoming the victim of another act of dating violence,” without proper precautions in place.

“The court, considering the totality of the testimony and the circumstances, does not find [Mills’] testimony concerning the intimate videos to be truthful,” Koberlein wrote in the judgment.

“Even had the respondent’s testimony been truthful, his response is irrelevant because there was no evidence presented suggesting [Langston] knew the respondent no longer had possession of their intimate videos,” he said.

The restraining order followed two court hearings in which the former couple testified on their past relationship and a hoard of texts, phone calls, and messages between them.

Langston alleged in a police report in July that Mills, 45, had threatened to release sex videos and nude pictures of her to the public, and “harm any men” she went out with in the future, after she ended their relationship earlier this year upon finding out he was seeing another woman.

Mills allegedly sent a series of harassing communications to Langston in May and June, including a message on May 15 where he told the pageant winner that she “may want to tell every guy you date that if we run into each other at any point. Strap up cowboy,” according to NBC News.

He also threatened in another message to share videos of Langston, writing, “I can send him a few videos of you as well. Oh, I still have them,” the outlet reported.

The lawmaker reportedly ignored over 10 requests from Langston to stop contacting her, Koberlein’s judgment said, NBC reported.

Mills and Langston, a GOP state committeewoman, had been dating since November 2021 and sharing a house in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., since May 2024 before they broke up.

Mills was one of 409 House lawmakers who voted in April to pass the Take It Down Act, which criminalized the online publication of “revenge porn” or AI-generated intimate visual depictions of others without their consent.
