Adirondack Student Conservation Association 2025 Season Wrap-up

The Adirondack SCA contracts with the New York State Deportment of Environmental Conservation (DEC) to improve trails and structures and complete other conservation projects throughout the Adirondack Park.

This season, Adirondack SCA completed an array of trail work, including:

Constructing 20,064 feet of new trail,
Improving more than 37 miles of trail,
Installing 60 rock and check steps to control erosion,
Constructing 254 feet of new bridges,
Moving 12 privies,
Installing 11 fire rings, and
Brushing and re-naturalizing multiple campsites and trails.

A ceremony recognizing Adirondack SCA’s work this season was recently held at the William C. Whitney Wilderness Area.
