Dominik Mysterio steps into a new role for San Diego FC

Dominik Mysterio is the current Intercontinental and AAA Mega Champion. As heel as he might be on WWE programming, he is equally fun-loving and rooted in real life. The proof is that he is scheduled to be part of San Diego FC’s ceremonial honor.

In a video posted by San Diego FC on their social media platforms, Dominik is seen addressing his presence. Mysterio will be the Keeper of the Flow for SDFC’s home opener this February 21. In that video, “Dirty” Dom mentioned the same and asked his fans and even SDFC’s fans to be there at Snapdragon Stadium. San Diego FC will face CF Montreal in the MLS 2026 season.

Towards the conclusion, he spoke in Spanish for his native fans. He said the same in English, San Diego vs. everyone, but also in Spanish, “San Diego contra todos”. “¡Vamos con todo!” he said, which translates to “let’s give it all we’ve got”. Dominik added “los quiero ver ahi,” stating he loves them (SDFC) to see them there.

“I just wanted to let you guys know that I will be the Keeper of the Flow this Saturday at SDFC’s home opener at Snapdragon Stadium. San Diego contra todos. ¡Vamos con todo!. los quiero ver ahí. Dirty Dom, out,” said Dominik Mysterio.

Dominik Mysterio was pinned by Je’Von Evans last Monday

The Intercontinental Champion, Dominik Mysterio, not only lost but was also pinned clean on last Monday Night RAW. He was a part of the triple threat matchup for Elimination Chamber qualification. Mysterio was up against Je’Von Evans and Gunther.

With a distraction from Dragon Lee, Gunther was taken out. That’s when Dominik took the advantage and 619’ed Evans. While going for the frog splash, though, Je’Von slid away and avoided it, but allowed Dominik to hit the ring. The 21-year-old then swiftly applied the OG Cutter, pinning the IC Champ.
