In Crimson Desert, you require a lot of silver to upgrade Kliff’s gear and develop the Greymane camp. The best way to get a ton of silver is to get a Gold Bar. Knowing how to farm these items efficiently can dramatically increase your rate of progression in the game. While they are not the most common thing to find, there are ways you can farm them consistently.
In this guide, we break down every efficient way of farming Gold Bars in Crimson Desert.
Every effective method of farming Gold Bars in Crimson Desert
1) Pickpocketing Nobles

As of now, the most effective method of acquiring Gold Bars in Crimson Desert is by pickpocketing nobles around cities and other major locations.
Unlike regular townspeople and villagers who only carry food or coin purses (small and bulging), nobles will often carry Gold Bars, sometimes even multiple. They will often be marked with a stack of Gold Bars, which you can easily spot while pointing your lantern at them. Make sure you are wearing a mask while stealing or pickpocketing.
How to pickpocket effectively:
- Once you have found the NPC with the Gold Bar, approach them from the side the pouch is on.
- Jog up to the NPC (don’t walk) and brush past them.
- Trigger the prompt to pickpocket at the right moment. (‘E’ for PC, ‘X’ for Xbox, and ‘Square’ on PlayStation).
- On success, run out of the detection zone and wait until it dissipates. If you fail, escape the detection zone and return to try stealing again.
If the NPC with the Gold Bar is sitting down, the best way to make him stand is to unsheath your weapon near them (do not attack). This will make them stand up, but they will sit back down again, so you will need to hurry.
Note: NPC inventories reset once you refresh the area (fast travel to a different location and then fast travel back to town). This gives you the ability to pickpocket NPCs repeatedly, allowing you to farm efficiently.

2) Use the Great Thief’s Gloves
The Great Thief’s Gloves completely eliminate the area detection after you steal something or pickpocket, and you don’t lose contribution points for stealing. However, there is a caveat: it only works once every 30 minutes, so use it specifically for high-risk situations.
To get the Great Thief’s Gloves, you will need to complete the Heart of Anvil Hill faction quest while following the Secrets of the Lost Seal questline.
3) Exploit the Gambling Den

If you don’t mind ‘save-scumming,’ you can earn tremendous amounts of money from Gambling Dens, which you can then convert into Gold Bars at the Bank. You can then use these Gold Bars to invest and earn more.
Here’s how to do it:
- Make sure you save the game before sitting down at the table for gambling.
- Go all in every time.
- If you win, then keep the profits. Save and do it again.
- If you lose, reload and try again.
This method is completely RNG-based, meaning the number of players and how much they are gambling can vary a lot. However, it can easily give you massive amounts of Silver per hour.
Once you have enough, you can turn them into Gold Bars at the Bank. This will give you the currency required for investment-based earnings.
4) Crafting Gold Bars
You can also use various materials to craft Gold Bars in Crimson Desert. To craft 1x Gold Bar, you will need to get 3x Brimstone, 3x Mercury, and 10x Silver Ore.
The recipe for crafting a Gold Bar is located in the Witch’s Hideout in Pailune.
