TMZ recently reported that Alissa Violet was arrested after an alleged argument with boyfriend Ryan Pownall regarding his phone. According to Famous Birthdays, Ryan Pownall, an entrepreneur, was born in Canada in 1992 and currently hosts the Pillow Talk podcast. He has 1.1 million followers on Instagram as of this writing.
In a report on April 2, 2026, TMZ reported that sources claimed the argument broke out at Pownall’s apartment in Hollywood in late February, when the couple returned after a night of drinking. Violet and Pownall were allegedly intoxicated and began arguing about Pownall’s phone.
TMZ added that Alissa Violet briefly left the apartment and returned later, and they resumed their argument. Neighbors reported a noise complaint to the police after the alleged argument escalated, and Violet was arrested for making “criminal threats.” The nature of the threats was unknown, but sources claimed that Violet allegedly had a knife in her hand.
According to TMZ, Alissa Violet and Ryan Pownall dated for 9 months and have since broken up. Alissa Violet has over 12 million followers on Instagram, and her latest Instagram post was uploaded on March 14.

Before her relationship with Ryan Pownall, Alissa Violet was romantically linked to Faze Banks, whom she dated from 2017 to 2019, and Jake Paul, whom she appeared to date before that. Violet discussed her relationship with Jake Paul in Shane Dawson’s 2018 YouTube series about Paul, titled The Mind of Jake Paul.
In the episode, she claimed she hooked up with his brother, Logan, after Paul left her and went on a trip.Violet was part of Jake Paul’s Team 10 collective, and they were rumored to have been dating at the time. However, Violet revealed to Dawson that she and Jake Paul “never officially dated” despite the rumors, saying:
“We never officially dated, ever…It was just hooking up and I’ve chased him for so long and I wanted him to be my boyfriend. I was just so confused and confronted him every day like, ‘what are we? This hurts so bad’ and he was always just brushing it off. We never really established what we were. We were together, but we weren’t.”
According to Metro, Violet claimed she hooked up with his brother, Logan, after Jake Paul told her he was going on a trip. She told Dawson that Paul told her not to come on the trip as he wanted to have s*x with a girl on the trip. Violet said she was at her “breaking point” at the time and “hit up Logan,” continuing:
“He [Jake Paul] was like, “oh, well, there’s this girl going and I really want to have s*x with her and I just don’t want you to get in the way of that. He went with all my friends and left me. And then, I was so pissed off, I was so fed up, I was so hurt, I was so disgusted, I was at my breaking point. I hit up Logan and was like “yo, let’s hang out”. We went to a club, with a bunch of our friends, and then me and Logan hooked up. I’m still disgusted by it, because it’s not who I am.”
Alissa Violet claimed that she always felt like a “pawn” between the brothers, and added that they “used” her to “one-up each other.”
Neither Alissa Violet nor Ryan Pownall has responded to the alleged arrest as of this article.
