Triple H’s Close Friend Lays Into Nick Khan Following Latest WWE Releases

WWE’s latest wave of releases brought the company and Triple H under scrutiny by the fans.

However, it’s worth mentioning that Triple H and Nick Khan weren’t the only ones making these decisions. TKO was involved in it and was the one making the calls to the superstars. Furthermore, TKO had asked WWE to cut costs by re-negotiating salaries.

On the latest episode of Kliq This, Sean Oliver asked Kevin Nash for his thoughts about the releases. Nash claimed that he was not surprised that TKO was releasing superstars to save money, but one ought to also take note of how much money Nick Khan is making while working in the same company!

“Not after two weeks prior, when I see what the CEOs — what Nick’s getting paid. I mean, Nick (Khan) took half of the f*cking WrestleMania net… But I’m busting his balls because we sat here and went over the numbers, and the year before was $1.4 billion. The next year, you’re $1.7 billion. So that’s $300 million. So, I’m busting Nick’s ba*ls but, we sat here and went over the numbers…” said Kevin Nash. [H/t: Fightful]

WWE is approaching superstars to negotiate deals. While doing so, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods parted ways with the company. The New Day, leaving WWE, stirred up quite a bit of commotion within the WWE Universe.

Triple H and WWE had given only two days to superstars to decide their fate

The global juggernaut released several superstars to cut costs. This directive came from TKO. Reports had clarified that the Triple H-led company was approaching superstars with a restructured deal, and anyone rejecting the new deal was being released from their contract.

Now, Fightful has further learnt that WWE provided superstars with two days to decide whether or not they want to accept the restructured deal.

“Fightful Select learned that on the day of the WWE mass releases, WWE approached numerous talent to take pay cuts. We heard many had two days to decide,” Sean Ross Sapp wrote.

So far, the top talent in WWE seems to be safe from the restructure. Nevertheless, if TKO wants, the company can look into cutting wages from top talent as well.
