Pete Davidson recently roasted Tony Hinchcliffe during Netflix Is A Joke Festival Presents: The Roast of Kevin Hart and compared him to late conservative activist Charlie Kirk. The event was held at Kia Forum in Los Angeles on May 10, 2026, and aired live on Netflix that same day, featuring an impressive line-up of celebrities and comedians, which included Pete Davidson, Lizzo, Tom Brady, Chelsea Handler, Tony Hinchcliffe, and Regina Hall, among others.
During his roast, Pete Davidson decided to take some shots at his fellow comedians gathered to participate in Kevin Hart’s roast. The Saturday Night Live alum set his sights on Tony Hinchcliffe, saying he reminded him of Charlie Kirk and urging someone to kill Hinchcliffe, a possible reference to the comedian’s hit podcast Kill Tony. For those uninformed, Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck and killed at Utah Valley University in September 2025.
“Tony Hinchcliffe is here, looking like both a child molester and the doll they give the child to show where he touched them. Tony reminds me of Charlie Kirk, and that’s he’s definitely been on camera letting a guy unload in his throat. Oh, you don’t know me? Yeah, ‘Kill Tony.’ Please someone f**king ‘Kill Tony.’ Tony nothing you say tonight will hurt my feelings,” Davidson said.
According to The TIME, Tony Hinchcliffe was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. He moved to Los Angeles in 2007 and landed a writing gig on Comedy Central Roast. He launched his Kill Tony podcast in 2013 and soon began developing his comedy career.
Hinchcliffe blew up online in 2024, after he called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean” during his speech at Donald Trump‘s presidential rally in Madison Square Garden in October. He also garnered criticism for his comments about the Latino and Black communities at the rally, alleging that Latinos “love making babies” and joked about one of his Black “buddies” and how they “carved watermelons” together.
Tony Hinchcliffe’s comments were met with immense backlash at the time, and the comedian defended himself amid the controversy in an X post. The comedian reposted a clip of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and then-Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz criticizing his remarks, and accused them of not having a sense of humor.
“These people have no sense of humor. Wild that a vice presidential candidate would take time out of his “busy schedule” to analyze a joke taken out of context to make it seem racist. I love Puerto Rico and vacation there. I made fun of everyone…watch the whole set. I’m a comedian Tim…might be time to change your tampon,” he wrote.

Chelsea Handler and Tony Hinchcliffe go head-to-head
during Kevin Hart’s roast
The Roast of Kevin Hart featured a bevy of comedians firing shots at each other, and Tony Hinchcliffe was not spared. Chelsea Handler, who was part of the line-up, hit at Hinchcliffe during her set, saying:
“Tony is what happens when women don’t have safe access to abortion care… Tony is a real guy’s guy, or what is commonly known as a bottom… Tony, you have the face of a school shooter and the personality of someone who gets short first… Tony, quick question, if you’re here tonight, who’s keeping Joe Rogan’s b*lls warm in their mouth?”
Tony Hinchcliffe didn’t hold back when it came time for his roast. The comedian joked that he was certain Chelsea Handler would be available for the roast as it fell on Mother’s Day.
Hinchcliffe also said that Handler being Jewish was the only thing interesting about her and compared her appearance to the DC Comics villain Joker, saying she “f**king sucks,” and calling her a “cold, frigid b***h.”
“She looks like the f**king Joker, people. She’s aging like a vegetable in Lizzo’s fridge. And she f**king sucks and always has, by the way. Her whole act is always how it’s stupid to have kids, we get it, your ovaries are busted… Chelsea actually had her eggs frozen, not on purpose, they’re just inside of a cold, frigid b***h.”
The Roast of Kevin Hart is now available on Netflix.
