How to get Feedback Resonator in Subnautica 2: All Feedback Resonator locations

The Feedback Resonator in Subnautica 2 is an upgrade to the basic Sonic Resonator, and it becomes necessary the moment shielded bloom cankers start showing up. Two fragments need to be scanned to complete the schematic, and both are sitting in the same deep eastern region of the map.

This guide covers both fragment locations, all the crafting materials needed, and where to find each one in Subnautica 2.

Steps to get the Feedback Resonator in Subnautica 2

A couple of prerequisites are worth sorting out before making the trip. The basic Sonic Resonator is needed first. You can check out our guide on unlocking it. The more important preparation is the Tadpole Depth Module Mk I. The fragment locations go deep, and without that upgrade, the vehicle will not reach them.

A reliable starting point is the Alien Ruins, which are visited as part of the main quest. From there, head roughly 1,200 metres east to reach the general region. A large tower structure in the area makes it easy to confirm the right location.

The ruins themselves sit near the eastern section of the map and serve as the main navigation anchor for everything that follows.

From the Alien Ruins, travel approximately 850 metres on a bearing between 60 and 75 degrees, which is essentially northeast to east. The route goes quite deep, so the vehicle can only go so far. Park it near the cliff face or tucked behind something out of the way.

The reason is the aggressive creatures in the area. If they spot the vehicle, they will continue attacking it. Getting in, scanning the fragment, and getting out quickly is the right approach here.

The area is recognisable by a green glow that resembles radiation (as shown above) and the unusual structures surrounding it. This fragment for the Feedback Resonator in Subnautica 2 is located within that zone.

The second fragment is roughly 131 metres from the first, at approximately 225 metres southeast on a bearing around 165 degrees, between southeast and south.

From the first fragment location, go around the rock face, and the second schematic appears shortly after. Scanning unlocks the Feedback Resonator blueprint.

How to craft the Feedback Resonator in Subnautica 2

Once the schematic is unlocked, the Feedback Resonator is built at the Modification Station under the Prototype Tool category. The required materials are:

  • Sonic Resonator x1
  • Conduit Crystal x2
  • Enameled Glass x2
  • Strontium x2

Note: The Modification Station can be crafted with 2x Titanium, 2x Celestine, and 2x Copper, along with the Habitat Builder.

Conduit Crystal is found primarily near the Alien Power Plant in the far eastern region of the map. From the Alien Ruins, head roughly 750+ metres east, going around the boundary structure rather than through it.

The deposits are tucked into a corner in that area, and conveniently, the Feedback Resonator fragment location is nearby, so both can be handled in the same dive.

Enameled Glass is crafted at the Fabricator using Glass and Creature Enamel. 2x Enameled Glass pieces are needed for the build. Creature Enamel deposits are found approximately 280 metres southeast of the Alien Ruins at bearing 150. The deposits look almost like placeholders visually, but there are plenty of nodes along the rock face in that area.

Just be careful of the Needler Mango creatures around the area, as they throw darts, so moving efficiently and not lingering too long is advisable. 2x Enameled Glass will be needed in total.

Strontium is fairly common throughout the eastern region. There are plenty of nodes near the Feedback Resonator fragment area itself, so it can be gathered during the same trip. It is one of the easier materials to collect for this build.

Once all materials are ready, head to the Configure Processor to build the Strontium needed, then return to the Modification Station, and the Feedback Resonator in Subnautica 2 can be assembled.
