Chevy Chase and Christie Brinkley just gifted fans a hefty dose of nostalgia.
In a heartwarming Instagram post fittingly captioned, “Vacation is always over too soon! 🏎️,” the National Lampoon’s Vacation actors posed together in what appears to be the back of a car, per Entertainment Weekly. Both Chase and Brinkley are sporting big smiles, as Chase waves to fans in a video on loop.
Chase portrayed father Clark Griswold, while Brinkley made her film debut as The Girl in the Ferrari, per EW.
Their co-star Beverly D’Angelo, who played Griswold family matriarch Ellen, took to the comments section, teasing, “You two look so great I’d have an affair with both of you !”
“love this ! Love you Christy ❤️!” she added in a separate comment.
The three previously reunited in September 2023 for a silly TikTok bit in which Chase showed off his hypnotism skills.
Meanwhile, Brinkley’s daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook commented, “Sooo cute!”
Fans also showed their love for the two stars in the comments section of Brinkley’s post, praising the 1983 comedy as “the funniest movie ever.”
National Lampoon’s Vacation paved the way for several Vacation films to follow, among them National Lampoon’s European Vacation (1985 ), National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989), Vegas Vacation (1997), National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation 2 (2003), and Vacation (2015).
Back in March, Brinkley opened up on Instagram about a procedure she underwent to remove skin cancer, expressing her gratitude for the fact that they “caught the basal cell Carcinoma early.” She also highlighted that she intends to do “regular total body check ups,” which she deemed a “MUST.”
