The 2025 NHL Draft is upon us. The Rangers won’t be making a pick tonight, at least for now, but there is still a small possibility they are able to sneak back into the first round, likely in the latter half. K’Andre Miller remains the Rangers biggest trade chip, but we may see other names pop up, like Brennan Othmann or perhaps Carson Soucy, though again unlikely.
If you’re looking for pre-draft reads, you can check out my 3 draft day predictions for tonight. The day certainly won’t be quiet, as Noah Dobson has already been traded to Montreal and it looks like the Islanders are not done in their quest to draft both Matthew Schaefer and James Hagens. We shall see if they can pull that off, but that is definitely the plan.
An increased cap ceiling means a lot is in flux, and we may finally see one of those fun offseasons we are always promised.
