And a legend is born

A video of a man lighting a cigarette and eating it during a live news broadcast about President Donald Trump’s recent visit to Cincinnati went viral on social media. For those uninformed, Trump was in Greater Cincinnati, specifically Ohio and Kentucky, on March 11, 2026, for meetings with “business owners in both of these places and talking about the economy,” as stated by the White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

Fox 19 reporter Alexis Martin had been giving a live update on the president’s visit when a man in a red T-shirt and blue pants walked behind her while smoking a cigarette. On spotting the camera, he held up his cigarette and put the lit part inside his mouth. He appeared to be chewing on it before the feed cut to a clip of the president.

The strange encounter received varied responses from netizens on X, with one user calling him a “legend.”

“And a legend is born.”

Several users had similar comments and found humor in the situation.

@CollinRugg Who needs Florida Man when we have Ohio Man

@CollinRugg Guess he wanted to take ‘smoking coverage’ a little too literally.

@CollinRugg We all have our special talents, he just took advantage of his 2 second of fame lol

@CollinRugg 😂 yep that would be Ohio. I’ve met some crazy people here

However, others brushed it off as an attempt to gain attention and claimed the trick he did was easy.

@CollinRugg What a strange moment 😳… Some people really love getting attention in unexpected ways during live broadcasts!

@CollinRugg He doesn’t eat it bro. We use to flick cigarettes in our mouth and back out with our tongue when we were young. I did it a bunch of times. Saliva protects from the initial burn and you have time to take it out.

@CollinRugg He put it in his mouth backwards, he didn’t eat it. My grandma use to smoke her cigarettes like this

@CollinRugg People do that all the time. Easy to do. And then it goes out

Trump visited a pharmaceutical company and a packaging facility during his trip to Greater Cincinnati

Trump reportedly made two stops during his visit to Greater Cincinnati on March 11, 2026. One included a visit to Thermo Fisher Scientific, a pharmaceutical and biotech company in Reading, Ohio, followed by a visit to Verst Logistics, a packaging facility in northern Kentucky.

The president reportedly arrived at the pharmaceutical company at 2:30 pm on March 11, where he toured the facility and posed for pictures with employees. His main aim for the visit was to discuss efforts to reduce drug prices, and the administration recently launched a new platform called Trump-RX that offers medication at discounted prices.

In an exclusive interview with Local 12, the president addressed his visit to Therma Fisher, saying:

“It’s really a great company, and they supply a lot of jobs, and they’re bringing medicine and medications back into our country. They’re doing a fantastic job, and I like to reward the companies that are doing really, really good.”

This was followed by a visit to Verst Logistics, where he addressed the crowd for over an hour and discussed the economy as well as the ongoing war with Iran. The president said that he believed the United States won the war, claiming that Iran’s missiles were “down 90 percent, their drones are down 85 percent, we are blowing up factories left and right.”

According to The Independent, Trump also invited influencer and professional boxer Jake Paul on stage to deliver a speech. Paul said the president had taught him courage and to “never back down from a fight, even if they’re much bigger than you.”

Following this, the president also promised to endorse Paul if he decided to enter politics, saying:

“I just want to say I predict, I’m going to make a prediction, that you will be in the not too distant future, running for political office, OK. And you have my complete and total endorsement, OK?’’

President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, hosted a Women’s History Month event at the White House on March 12, 2026. During the event, the president called women the “whole deal” and added that they were “so powerful and so important and so beautiful.” He also said he wasn’t allowed to use the word beautiful, adding, “If you say a woman’s a beautiful woman, they say that’s the termination of his career.”
