Apple’s iPad Air and mini lineup could receive big display upgrades soon, according to a report by Bloomberg. The company is also working on upgrading the display on the MacBook Air.
The report states that the Cupertino giant is testing new iPad Air, mini, and MacBook Air models with OLED displays. As per the report, Apple plans to introduce the iPad mini with an OLED panel in 2026.

While an OLED display would be a welcome upgrade for the iPad mini, it’s expected to come at a higher price. The report suggests that the OLED version could cost up to $100 more than the current model.
Apple is also developing a redesigned chassis for the iPad mini, featuring water resistance and an upgraded speaker system.

The iPad Air is also expected to adopt OLED technology in the coming years, though the next iteration will reportedly continue to use an LCD panel for now.
As for the MacBook Air, Apple is said to be developing an OLED version, but the upgrade isn’t expected anytime soon, with a launch timeline likely set for 2028.
