Davante Adams living with Aaron Rodgers after Jets trade

Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams are getting extra re-acquainted with each other.

The Jets and Raiders completed a bombshell trade to bring Adams to New York on Tuesday for a reunion with Rodgers, as the two had previously played eight seasons together in Green Bay.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Rodgers revealed that in addition to being teammates again Adams is his new roommate.

“He’s staying with me for the short term,” Rodgers said.

“[We] went straight into some of the signals and he was at about 95 percent. He knows the original to the second iteration to the third and on down. His knowledge of the game is pretty extensive.”

Adams joined Rodgers on-screen during the quarterback’s customary appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday.

In his media availability on Wednesday, Rodgers also alluded to the idea that Adams, 31, is looking spry.

“Obviously it looks like he is drinking the elixir from the fountain of youth, as I watch some of his clips,” Rodgers continued.

“We went back and watched some old 2014 stuff from when he was a rookie. I love how they called him ‘Fat Tae’ because he was over 220 [pounds]. And he got real serious about his diet and health and got to under 210, and his speed came back. Became the dynamic player he is today.

“It’s been a strange 24 hours, but really fun to see my friend.”

Adams missed the last three Raiders games with a hamstring injury, but he participated in the Jets’ walkthrough on Wednesday and is expected to be available for Sunday night’s game against the Steelers.

The Jets are off to a 2-4 start and need to take off soon if they are going to stay in the mix for a playoff berth in the AFC.
