Ocean animals are a favorite with many kids. There’s always at least one student who can tell you all the facts about whales or sharks. So, when you’re planning lessons or preparing a coloring corner, make sure you have these ocean coloring pages on board.

Here’s what’s included in our ocean coloring pages, plus ideas for using them:

There are three animals to print and color, from octopus to jellyfish.

Octopi are super interesting. Yes, kids know that they have eight legs, but did you know that they have the most developed brains of all invertebrates? Have students research and find a fun fact about octopi and decorate this coloring sheet to show that fact.

Whale

A whale swimming in a school of fish would make a great cover for a book of animal facts. Either have students create their own ocean books, or make one as a class. (Here are a bunch of ocean facts to start you off.)

Jellyfish

Yes, kids can color these jellyfish … or they can really get creative with their undersea decorating. Provide students with materials, from pipe cleaners and glitter to crepe paper and buttons, and challenge them to decorate this underwater scene. Then, hang their creations in a corner of your classroom to create your own aquarium exhibit.
