How To Use the St. Patrick’s Day Worksheets

You don’t have to wait until March 17 to break out these worksheets. Use them for the whole month of March!

Put students in charge of planning a March-themed bulletin board. It will take them a few weeks to go through the planning and design process. They can use the shamrock cut-outs and writing paper for inspiration.
Create collections of shamrock- and St. Patrick’s Day–inspired writing. When students have a few writing pieces—a poem, narrative, and informational essay—they can bind them together into a book.
End March with a poetry slam. Challenge students to write acrostic poems using the acrostic poem worksheets, or write lyrical poems based on what they learn about St. Patrick’s Day. Then, host a poetry slam complete with green drinks and food.
