This is not a painting is one of the many Anomaly Commissions that you can pursue in the Miguel District of NTE (Neverness to Everness). From the Anomaly Commission menu in NTE, navigate to the Miguel District segment and access the This is not a painting quest. Next, select ‘Track Anomaly’ to the objective location on the map. It is situated in the northern part of the map, near Yurutown.
Navigate to the shown location on the map (image attached). When you arrive, you will find an open field. Then, look for a canvas with a strange figurine beside it. From here, you can start the This is not a painting Anomaly Commission (What You See).
This is not a painting Anomaly Commission in NTE (Neverness to Everness): Walkthrough
As mentioned before, you need to align several paintings in this quest to progress forward. Also, make sure it is daytime for easier vision. Here are the steps to complete the Anomaly Commission:
Align the first painting
When you’re standing on the field, stand in front of the yellow painting in a way so that it aligns with the entrance in the back. You can also zoom in or zoom out to find the appropriate spot.
Also, note the painting’s flickering. If it flickers, that means the position is correct. Wait for a few seconds to trigger the outcome. In this case, the door will open up for you to enter.
Align the second painting
Get inside the new area, and you will find another painting. Stand in front of it at a specific angle so that it aligns with the closed door at the back. Stay still for a while to open the door.
Align the third painting
Proceed forward, go downstairs, then turn left to find one more canvas with a painting. Stand in front of it and align it with the light in the background. This will make the light shine towards the left.

Align the small door
Go near the table on the left, and you will find a small door on top of it. Stand in the position so it aligns with the door in the painting at the back. This will open up the final door in that room.
