Leasing has kicked off for a new apartment building on the quieter, northern stretch of Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint. Located between Green and Freeman Streets, 1024 Manhattan Avenue rises seven stories and contains 31 apartments. Pricing starts at $4,500/month for a one-bedroom apartment.

Developed by Witold Brend and designed by Kutnicki Berstein Architects, 1024 Manhattan Avenue offers residents a well-equipped fitness center, bike storage, a virtual doorman, package lockers, and a rooftop terrace with grill and lounge areas.

Apartments have spacious bedrooms, air-conditioning, high-end kitchen appliances, and washer and dryers. The elevator-building is also pet-friendly and smoke-free.

Current availabilities start at $4,500/month for a one-bedroom and $6,400/month for a two-bedroom.

The building launched a housing lottery earlier this year for 10 affordable apartments, designated for New Yorkers earning 130 percent of the area median income.

The rental is in a prime spot on the commercial thoroughfare, with top-rated restaurants and cafes (like Radio Bakery and Wenwen) across the way. The G train is a few blocks away, and the NYC Ferry, along with the East River waterfront, is less than a mile from the building.
