Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the most successful Japanese stars in the history of WWE. A former ex-WWE star who’s also Japanese recently took a subtle dig at the King of Strong Styles. The star in question is Yoshi Tatsu who claimed that he was the last male Japanese star to win a match at WrestleMania.
Both Yoshi Tatsu and Nakamura made a name for themselves in New Japan Pro Wrestling. While Tatsu joined WWE in 2007 and stayed there until his release in 2014, Nakamura joined the company back in 2016 and is still competing there as a part of the SmackDown roster.
Thanks for the submission!
During a recent event hosted by Pro Wrestling NOAH, Yoshi Tatsu recently took a subtle dig at Nakamura by stating that he was the last Japanese Male star to win a match at WrestleMania. He had won a pre-show Battle Royal at WrestleMania 26. While Nakamura has competed in two major matches at Mania, he’s yet to score a win at the event. Many fans believe Tatsu’s statement was a subtle dig at Shinsuke Nakamura.
It will be interesting to see if Nakamura will win a match at WrestleMania before he hangs up the boots.
Shinsuke Nakamura has seen immense success in WWE
Ever since his debut in the company, Nakamura was booked as a major star. He won the NXT Championship during his time there while he won the Royal Rumble match in 2018 after his main roster debut. He has also won several championships in the company.
Shinsuke Nakamura is a former United States Champion and has also held the Intercontinental title several times. He has also seen success in the tag team division as he’s also a former SmackDown Tag Team Champion. The only thing Nakamura hasn’t done in WWE is winning a World Championship.
Fans are hoping to see Nakamura win the big one in the WWE before he retires from pro wrestling.
