Mark Henry responds to former WWE Champion saying he was hurt by dangerous move

WWE legend Mark Henry was seen in the stands for John Cena’s final match on December 13, 2025. Now, the former World Heavyweight Champion has reached out to another legend, Rob Van Dam, and responded to his grievance regarding a match between them.

A video clip on X showcased Henry and RVD in a bout where the latter was facing the ropes, taking support from the middle rope. The next second, the video showed the World’s Strongest Man leaping out of the ring while his rear hit Van Dam on the nape.

RVD tweeted that the move had hurt him a lot. When a fan joked that they were glad that the ring had ropes and not cables, the former WWE Champion said that cables would’ve decapitated him against that kind of impact. Responding to RVD, Mark Henry wrote:

“I’m much kinder now, ROB!”

Both Henry and Van Dam are ECW stalwarts who have held the ECW Championship. Both are signed to WWE under its Legends contract.

Mark Henry had lied to WWE about Bryan Danielson

Mark Henry recently appeared on the Six Feet Under podcast. Speaking to The Undertaker, he revealed he had lied to WWE about Bryan Danielson’s height.

The former World Heavyweight Champion noted that he just knew that Danielson was Hall of Fame caliber, and his size shouldn’t deny him a chance in the promotion.

“I just saw Bryan on TV and said ‘hey, y’all need to get this dude’, because I saw a match he had and I was like ‘this dude is as good as people we’ve got in WWE’… And I lied, I told them he was like six feet tall because they wanted bigger guys, like 200 lbs, and Bryan’s five foot 11 maybe.” [H/T The Sportster]

Danielson went on to become a four-time WWE Champion and a one-time World Heavyweight Champion in the TKO-owned company. Rest assured, Henry didn’t lie to RVD about being kinder now.
