Marko Stout debuts ‘The House of Hunter’ after his New York Fashion Week runway show

New York artist Marko Stout is introducing a new body of work titled “The House of Hunter,” a project that expands his exploration of the relationship between contemporary art, fashion and design.

According to information published on Stout’s official website, the collection centers on the artist’s loyal companion Hunter, a stylized Shiba Inu that appears across sculptures, prints and visual media. The character is presented as a recurring icon within Stout’s work and is designed to merge elements of sculpture, fashion imagery and luxury design.

The “House of Hunter” collection includes metallic sculptures and art prints inspired by Marko Stout’s Hunter character, the stylish canine often referred to as “the Shiba in Chanel” and depicted wearing accessories from luxury fashion houses, as well as the artist’s original works. Hunter’s look reflects the artist’s themes of fashion and modern culture.

Stout’s studio describes the project as a conceptual universe built around the character, where art objects, prints and visual storytelling are connected through a single visual identity.
The “House of Hunter” series comes as Stout continues to fuse art and fashion. The artist introduced his collection of “wearable art” inspired by the images and materials of this art works during his runway show in the fall 2025 at the New York Fashion Week. The show presented what Stout refers to as wearable art, garments developed using the same visual language found in his paintings and sculptural work.

According to the artist’s website, the fashion pieces draw inspiration from the metallic textures, graphic compositions and gold tones that appear throughout his art. Stout uses fashion and fabric as another medium to explore the themes of traditional gallery pieces.

Stout’s runway projects have been associated with fashion week shows and other events where art and clothing share a common platform. He treats fashion as an extension of his visual art and not just a separate haute couture collection.

“The House of Hunter” collection continues that theme by blending sculptural art with fashion imagery and character-based storytelling. The central Hunter figure appears throughout the series as both an object and a narrative symbol within Stout’s broader body of work.

Further details about the House of Hunter artworks and related projects are available through the artist’s studio and website.
