The Rangers have won three in a row, giving us a nice end to a Western Canada (and Seattle) trip that started disastrously in Calgary. Instead of folding this group used the opening clunker to motivate themselves in righting the ship. Now they come home to face a Carolina Hurricanes team that is facing a similar problem to the Rangers: They can’t seem to score consistently on the powerplay either. But the Canes can score at 5v5, so there’s that.
If you’re looking forward to a K’Andre Miller sighting, he’s still out with a lower body injury and likely won’t play tonight. Jaro Chmelar, a prospect I was excited to see play, will not be in the lineup tonight for the Rangers. Matthew Robertson draws in for the injured Urho Vaakanainen.
