The Rangers are 6-4-2 in December, which sounds nice on paper but is really just .500 hockey and no real improvement on what we saw from this team in October and November. Injuries are certainly taking their toll on the Rangers, but they aren’t an excuse. This is when the Rangers need to start making noise, with three more games against Metro opponents ahead of them in the division. I don’t think any of us expect them to run the table, including Tuesday’s win over Washington, but crazier things have happened.
