The Rangers are what they are at this point. It’s a continuation of last year, just with execution and effort flipped. The effort is there. The execution is not. The Blueshirts can’t score, can’t produce offense consistently, and have inept special teams. They can defend, though. The Rangers live and die by holding their opponents to under 2 goals. If the Canes get 2, then it’s likely the Rangers don’t have the firepower to make it a game. If they get 3, it’s basically over.
