NY Rangers Game 61: Rangers vs Islanders

The Rangers are teetering back and forth with contending and not contending this season. It’s clear they are selling their pending UFAs, but they are also still trying to make the playoffs. The JT Miller trade is evident of that. They’ve been playing well the last few games, beating the Isles and Predators sandwiching one of those best games of the year that they lost against Toronto.

The Rangers are currently four points behind Detroit and Columbus and tied with Ottawa, though Ottawa has a game in hand. A 16-6 record gets them to 96 points and a likely playoff spot. It begins tonight against the Islanders. But watch out for the free falling Devils…
