NY Rangers Game 8 Open Thread: Rangers vs Minnesota

Are the Rangers back? Or was Saturday’s comeback win a blip in their goalscoring struggles? We will find out tonight as the Rangers look for their first goal at MSG tonight with the Minnesota Wild coming to town. The Wild are missing three key players, so old friend Tyler Pitlick is in the lineup for Minnesota. Pitlick played 34 games with the Rangers in 2023-2024.

Minnesota is an interesting team. They are likely a playoff team, but that’s all we can really say right now. Injuries have made their top-six look weaker than it truly is, as they are missing both Mats Zuccarello and Marco Rossi. But they still have their elite top line, which could be enough to hand the Rangers a loss if they still can’t score at MSG. Hopefully those demons will be exorcised today.
