With Jacob Trouba’s tenure as a Ranger at an end, the Rangers lines tonight will look familiar, with Peter Laviolette reuniting the lines that worked in the season opener, with one or two tweaks. This means reuniting the Panarin-Trocheck-Lafreniere and Cuylle-Chytil-Kakko lines. The only changes are Jimmy Vesey in for Jonny Brodzinski and, obviously, Jacob Trouba is not a part of the lineup.
The defense pairs of Lindgren-Fox and Miller-Schneider stay together, but Zac Jones will play with newly recalled Victor Mancini again, giving the Rangers three suboptimal defense pairs again. There’s still more to come with this roster, but that blue line really needs some work.
