Dan Bilzerian has never shied away from controversy. He isn’t starting now.
Bilzerian, 44, is a trust fund baby who has lived off his inheritance from his father, Paul Bilzerian, a corporate raider who in 1989 was found guilty of breaching securities laws, specifically, stock parking.
Bilzerian dabbled in professional poker in Las Vegas, though he found little success. His primary gig has been flaunting his lavish lifestyle on Instagram. For more than a decade, the self-proclaimed “King of Instagram” has regularly shared photos and videos of him frolicking with scantily-clad women and showing off his array of toys, from high-powered artillery to private jets and yachts and exotic trips around the world.
Bilzerian has many fans — 31.3 million on Instagram — most of whom are young men craving to be within his playboy orbit that makes the late Hugh Hefner’s life look, well, mundane. Bilzerian also has many foes, and he made some more this week by continuing to question the legitimacy of the Holocaust.
Holocaust Denier
Bilzerian in 2016 was a supporter of Donald Trump for president. But in 2024, that support was no more, largely because of Trump’s persistent support of the Israeli State.
Bilzerian’s family is of Armenian heritage. Armenia went through its own systematic destruction from 1915 to 1917 when up to 1.5 million people were brutally murdered during the Armenian genocide.
While the Holocaust is a staple of nearly every child’s education, the Armenian genocide is not. Bilzerian isn’t convinced Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime carried out as many murders as is taught in high schools across the U.S.
Appearing on Bradley Martyn’s “Raw Talk” podcast, Bilzerian says the number of Jewish people killed during the Holocaust is greatly exaggerated.
When you start looking at the numbers of the Holocaust, it’s bullsh*t. They said four million people died in Auschwitz. Then they literally revised it and said it was more like 1.1 to 1.5 million. How can you be that far off?” Bilzerian asked.
Then you look at the math. You cannot cremate that many bodies. Gas chambers are not an effective, efficient way to kill people,” Bilzerian continued. “These are the Germans. These are the guys who have the best tanks, the best fighter jets, the best technology. And they’re going to put a wooden door on a gas chamber?”
Bilzerian said he doesn’t believe they were “death camps” but that the bulk of the lives lost were due to typhus and malnutrition. He also doesn’t think the Turkish Ottoman Empire was responsible for the Armenian genocide but instead blames Israel.
“I’m Armenian. They killed half my people. Israel denies that genocide,” Bilzerian said.
Vegas Mansion Remains on the Market
In September, Casino.org reported that Bilzerian had listed his Las Vegas Insta-worthy mansion for sale. The 40K-square-foot Spanish Colonial has seven bedrooms, 14 baths, a 16-car garage, and “an array of odd and quirky amenities fit for a hedonistic lifestyle.”
The property located along W. Patrick Lane near the Strip’s southern end also has a lofty asking price of $25M. After more than 100 days on the market, Bilzerian’s home remains an active listing.
