Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz will headline Team USA’s title defense at the United Cup 2026, which will be held from January 2-11. The Americans have dominated the tournament since its inception in 2023, walking away as the champions twice so far.
With two of the most capable players in the form of Gauff and Fritz leading their campaign, they’re the favorites to retain their title. Gauff didn’t lose a match, either singles or doubles, en route to their triumph last year, making it a memorable debut for her.

With the tournament set to begin in a day, here’s a look at Team USA’s squad and schedule for this year’s edition of the United Cup:
United Cup 2026: Team USA Lineup
Team USA will be represented by Coco Gauff, Taylor Fritz, Mackenzie McDonald, Varvara Lepchenko, Christian Harrison, and Nicole Melichar-Martinez. Michael Russell will serve as the team captain.
Gauff had another stellar season in 2025, winning her second Major title at the French Open. She also won the Wuhan Open and finished the season ranked No. 3 for the third year in a row. Fritz made the Wimbledon semifinals in 2025, won a couple of titles, and secured his fourth consecutive year-end finish in the top 10.
Harrison and Melichar-Martinez continued to taste success in doubles in 2025. The former won three titles from five finals, and advanced to his maiden Major semifinal at the French Open, while the latter captured one title from three finals.
McDonald didn’t win back-to-back matches on the ATP Tour in 2025, though he did reach a couple of finals on the Challenger circuit. Lepchenko hasn’t been a factor on the main tour for quite some time now. A runner-up finish at the WTA 125 tournament in Argentina was the highlight of her 2025 season.
United Cup 2026: Team USA Schedule
The group stage and the quarterfinals of the United Cup will be held across Perth and Sydney, with the latter city hosting the semifinals and the final. The Americans have been placed in Group A alongside Spain and Argentina, and have been assigned Perth as their host city.
The group stage in Perth will take place at the RAC Arena from January 2-6, followed by the quarterfinals on January 7. Teams who qualify for the semifinals from Perth will get a couple of days off after that as they head to Sydney for the last two rounds. Here’s a look at the full schedule for the American team:
