The post-WWE Royal Rumble edition of Monday Night RAW saw the 2026 men’s Rumble contest winner, Roman Reigns, return to the flagship show. However, his promo was cut short by the Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk.
Two had a classic promo battle, which led the Original Tribal Chief not to waste time and pick Punk as his WrestleMania opponent. Recently, The Second City Saint appeared on the Up & Adam Show, where, in response to a question about why Roman Reigns hates him, he cracked up the hosts and left the fans in stitches with his cheeky response.

WWE Champion says he doesn’t hate Roman Reigns
Speaking on the same podcast episode, CM Punk revealed that he doesn’t hate Reigns and stated that he doesn’t think the Tribal Chief hates him either. It’s just that he wants to get inside the OTC’s mind to beat him in the squared circle.
“Do you think he really hates me? I mean, hate and love — it’s a fine line. The lore is, we’re two top guys in the industry, so it’s gonna be… a di**-measuring contest… No, I don’t hate him at all. But I’m the guy that gets under people’s skin. I can draw that out of him. I really make people step up and become the best version of themselves, because they want to shut me up. They want to shut me off. And I love that, because if I can get him emotional… and if you’re in their head, you know you can beat ‘em on the field. That being said, WrestleMania 42 is already going to be iconic, given that two of the biggest names in the industry, Roman Reigns and CM Punk, are locking horns for the World Heavyweight Title.
