WWE star Chad Gable breaks silence after getting unmasked as the “Original” El Grande Americano

Chad Gable revealed himself as the “Original” El Grande Americano.

The former Alpha Academy member was in action at AAA’s Noche de Los Grandes special in Monterrey, Mexico. He went up against El Grande Americano in a Mask vs. Mask match, and both of them put on quite the show. El Grande Americano secured the win after hitting Gable with a charging headbutt.

Following the match, Gable unmasked himself to reveal he is the “Original” El Grande Americano. He revealed that he embraced the mask to understand the art of lucha and defeat the luchadors of the world. After the event, he took to social media to express how he feels after taking off the mask.

“Tonight the mask died. And suddenly I feel more ALIVE than ever”, wrote the “Original” El Grande Americano.

Chad Gable promised to be back in AAA

After unmasking himself, Gable spoke to the fans at the arena. He revealed that the mask was to help him soak in the art of lucha and defeat the luchadors, but during his journey, he learnt about Mexico, its people, and its culture.

After praising El Grande Americano and claiming he would be the only El Grande Americano, Chad Gable said that he would be back in AAA very soon.

“Mark my words, I don’t know when and I don’t know how… But Chad Gable will be BACK in AAA. GRACIAS,” Gable said.

While it’s not known how WWE will move forward with the former Alpha Academy member’s story, there is a possibility Gable can pursue Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship. AAA’s General Manager Rey Mysterio will be more than happy to book this match and rile up Dirty Dom even further.

On the other hand, Triple H can consider bringing Gable back to WWE RAW and use the AAA momentum to push him with an impactful storyline.
