After debuting in global markets last month, the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra have now been launched in India. Both smartphones arrive with specifications identical to their global counterparts.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is priced at INR 1,39,999 ($1,525) for the sole 16GB/512GB variant. As part of an early bird offer running from March 13 to March 17, customers will receive the Xiaomi Professional Photography Kit at no additional cost.
The phone will go on sale in India starting March 18 and will be available via Amazon and Xiaomi’s official online store. It will be offered in Black and White color options.
The Ultra variant carries the same specifications as the global model. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and features a 6.9-inch LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The device packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
On the camera front, the phone sports a Leica-branded rear setup that includes a 50MP 1-inch primary sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and continuous optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide unit. The phone also features a 50MP front-facing camera and carries IP66 and IP65 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Meanwhile, the compact Xiaomi 17 starts at INR 89,999 ($980) for the 12GB/256GB variant, while the 12GB/512GB model is priced at INR 99,999 ($1,090). As part of an early bird offer running from March 13 to March 17, buyers can get the 512GB model for the same price as the 256GB variant.
The Xiaomi 17 is also powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, but features a smaller 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness. It packs a 6,330mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
At the back, the phone features a Leica-branded triple rear setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultrawide unit. It also gets a 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus. The device carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
