Ronda Rousey suddenly fires shots at the UFC after blockbuster return announcement

Ronda Rousey recently broke the internet with the announcement of her return to an MMA ring. She recently fired some sudden shots at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), a place where she made a name for herself as a Fighter.

Ronda is one of the most important figures in the world of Mixed Martial Arts. She used to be a big name in UFC before she became a WWE Superstar. She was the first female UFC Champion and used to dominate the MMA circuit at a point in her career. She has been away from all sorts of combat sports for the past 3 years.

However, Netflix recently announced that the Baddest Woman on the Planet will face Gina Carano in her return match. The match will take place on March 16th inside the Intuit Dome, California and will be broadcasted on Netflix. Following the announcement, Ronda Rousey recently fired some shots at UFC in a recent tweet.

“This rivalry has so many layers – @netflix isnt playing around – bet you we can beat @paramountplus’ @ufc numbers 😈👊🏼🔥,” she wrote.

It will be exciting to see how Ronda will perform in her first fight in years.

Ronda Rousey left WWE in 2023

The former RAW Women’s Champion made her debut in the Stamford-based promotion back in 2018 at the Royal Rumble event. Since then, she was heavily featured on the company’s programming. She won the RAW Women’s Championship and even got to compete in the first Women’s WrestleMania main event.

During her run with the company, she won the Women’s Royal Rumble match in 2022 and also the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Her time with the company came to a close at SummerSlam 2023 where she faced Shayna Baszler in an MMA Rules match and ended up losing.

It will be interesting to see if Ronda Rousey will ever return to the squared circle following a return to the Octagon.
