Honor 600 Smart launches quietly with a sizeable 6.87″ LCD and large 7,700mAh battery

The new Honor 600 Smart features the largest battery in the 600 series (outside of China), has a large 6.87” LCD and a tough build.

The Smart has a 7,700mAh battery, while the Honor 600 and 600 Pro have 7,000mAh batteries. Those have smaller 6.57” displays, though, and are thinner at 7.8mm, compared to 8.3mm for the Smart. According to SFR’s numbers, the phone can stream video for 28 hours without a break and will last up to 93 hours on a single charge. It supports 45W fast charging.

This is one of the largest phones on the market with a 6.87” display – an LCD with up to 1,020 nits of brightness. The resolution is surprisingly low given the diagonal – 720 x 1,592px is going to be stretched thin on such a large panel.

Anyway, the Honor 600 Smart is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, a 4nm chip with a sub-6GHz 5G modem. Honor already has a phone with the 4 Gen 4, the Honor Play 80 Plus, which has a smaller 6.61” 720p+ display and a 7,500mAh battery.

This chipset is clearly no match for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 inside the Honor 600 and it’s not intended to be. However, the 4GB of RAM is worrying – the page claims that you can extend it to 12GB with “RAM Turbo”, but that won’t work as well as real RAM. The phone also has 128GB of built-in storage (non-expandable).

We don’t have all the details on the cameras yet, but the main on the back has a 50MP sensor and can record 1080p video (it’s the best that the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 can do). At least it’s better than the sole 13MP camera on the Play 80 Plus.

The Honor 600 Smart has been drop-tested from 2.5m and can be submerged under 1.5m of water for half an hour. The rugged build has been verified with a Swiss SGS Premium Performance certification.

The Smart has stereo speakers (with a 400% volume boost mode) and an AI button – because how can you make a phone in 2026 without an AI button?

Honor France lists the phone as “coming soon”, so we don’t have the pricing yet. It looks like SFR, France’s second-largest carrier, will be selling the Honor 600 Smart – you can see it here. There’s no pricing info there either, though.
