The Western Conference Final is done, with Vegas sweeping the Colorado Avalanche in the biggest surprise of the postseason. Attention turns east, as the Carolina Hurricanes look to make it a 3-1 series lead on Montreal. The Canes won eight in a row to start the postseason before dropping Game 1 to Montreal. Now they’ve won two straight and look like the team expected to make it out of the East. Sweeping both in Montreal should demoralize the Habs enough, if they can pull it off.
