Vermont Offering America’s 250th Community Planning Grants

usa 250Additional rounds of the Vermont 250th Community Planning Grants are now open to all communities in Vermont. At an upcoming virtual information session on April 30th, grant administrators will share details and answer questions.

Planning for this commemoration is already underway. The Vermont 250th Anniversary Commission (VT250th), tasked by Governor Phil Scott, is working to create opportunities for Vermonters to mark this anniversary.

This grant program is intended to help communities plan and prepare for America’s 250th Anniversary at the local level in Vermont.

Grants are $1,000 and will be given to support a range of activities that help to define and move forward programs, events, and resources for 2026-2027.

Grant applications will be accepted electronically for the first round by May 15, 2024 and the second round by July 15, 2024 (dependent on available funds).
